Nick is, somewhat inadvertently, the closest thing the band has to a frontman. Perhaps because he sings The
Last Film and Big Man Restless, or that he's the band's most prolific songwriter. Nick never intended to be a
singer, but it did sort of become him. The members usually sing the songs they write and after Sylvia left there was no one else to pass down his ideas to. Eventually later
down the line he got to do some voice work for other bands. The only instrument he performs at the W-fest is
his voice... for better or worse.
Despite him being the closest thing Kissing the Pink has to a "face", Nick considers himself a very
nervous person. Even going so far as to imply that the reason for his strange dancing onstage and on tv is not
to imitate the likes of Ian Curtis or Gary Numan but was rather because he was just that nervous.
Some relief must've gotten to him by CTAL, though. It has to have... he's literally the face of the album and
briefly an Italian pop star! Don't you just love his perm?
Nick joined the band by his mother recommending it to him. She was the housekeeper of the studio that Ubu Roi
played at and later helped the band get signed to Martyrwell for Don't
Hide In The Shadows. Her judgement was correct, Nick got along very very well with the band. He and Jon have remained the only consistent members in every single lineup.
Somewhat like Jon, Nick is now a psychologist. Specifically having a PhD. Which he thinks is very cool. Can
you imagine you walk into your therapist's office for the first time and it's that fucking guy that was like
on TV 40 years ago very briefly. Absolutely crazy.
There will be a small gallery of drawings and links to more pages at the bottom of this page. Such as press he is featured in, more pedantic details on him singing songs, etc.
